Conclusion: OnyX is a GREAT app, and one that everyone with a Mac should have. However, it is a bit daunting. The information and options it works with and reveals are really meant for the more technically savvy user, and not necessarily for those more casual Mac users. OnyX is very powerful and 'with great power comes great responsibility.' You need to be careful when using it. You can very easily make a number of unintended mistakes if you don't use it right, so a bit of caution is warranted. However, it's a great app, and can be a bit help when, for instance, you get an error that a file can't be deleted or removed from the Trash because its 'in use.' Its during instances like that when OnyX can truly save your bacon.
